Real estate investment company Antilooppi’s biggest reconstruction project will be completed soon when Siltasaari 10, the new gem in the heart of the Hakaniemi district of Helsinki, opens its doors in November 2021. Demand for spaces has been brisk and several leases have already been signed.

Among its tenants will be several top restaurants that will further enhance the service offerings in the district. Those that are already confirmed include Story, which serves contemporary “husmanskost” from morning till night, Lopez y Lopez, which serves authentic Mexican tacos, and a new restaurant concept by Pia Olanterä of Trattoria Sogno and Restaurant Penny, Moloko, which will serve Korean barbeque, a relatively new acquaintance for Finnish diners.

“We are very excited to announce the arrival of such a fine selection of restaurants in the heart of Hakaniemi. Siltasaari 10 will significantly rejuvenate the district and give it a vibrant new atmosphere,” says Asset Manager Tuomas Hulkkonen.

Tenants of the impressive new office space at Siltasaari 10 will include the world-class marketing agency Dentsu, the event platform Brella, the digital business consultancy Frantic, auditing firm Tilintarkastusrengas, and cutting-edge accounting and software company Lemon Tree, as well as the head office of a major fashion chain. S-Market and Emotion will also return to the property that was formerly known as Elanto House. In addition, Siltasaari 10 will house Antilooppi’s flexible office concept POOL, which offers flexible workspace solutions for changing needs.

“POOL promises suitable premises for its customers at all times and caters to the demand for different sized workspaces, be it a small office space, a meeting room, a podcast studio or an event space. A touch of luxury and a relaxed work atmosphere is provided by the POOL Business Lounge, where individuals and companies can come to work according to the needs of each working day,” says Associate Director Johanna Sarekoski.

Responsibility, wellbeing and holistic development focus

Responsibility, one of Antilooppi’s core values, also plays a significant role at Siltasaari 10. Antilooppi is applying for both LEED environmental certification and WELL certification promoting health and wellbeing for the property. The aim is to obtain a Platinum LEED rating, which is quite exceptional for renovated properties, as well as a Gold WELL rating. Efforts have been made to improve the wellbeing of users, for example by providing parking for more than 400 bicycles and social facilities in the basement, ensuring that the user experience for cyclists is at least as good as it is for drivers.

“The demand for spaces has delighted us and shows that our clients view Hakaniemi as a developing district that is just as attractive as we expect it to be. It is important to us that our properties are always interact closely with their immediate surroundings, which is why the development target is never just the property but the entire neighbourhood taking into consideration those who live and work there,” says Tuomas Sahi, CEO of Antilooppi.
