Antilooppi is launching five solar power plants this autumn – the first is now in operation at Quartetto Business Park

Antilooppi continues to take action to achieve a carbon-neutral real estate portfolio, with the company’s first solar power plant commissioned on the roof of the Quartetto Fuuga property in Leppävaara, Espoo.

The commissioning of the solar power plant, located at Linnoitustie 9, is one important milestone in Antilooppi’s sustainability work, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2030. The company is getting closer to the climate targets outlined in their sustainability strategy by promoting both the use of renewable energy as well as its production.

”Renewable energy plays a vital role in achieving carbon neutrality, and thus we want to invest in energy self-sufficiency and forms of energy production at our properties. The electricity produced by our own solar power plants is one concrete step forward in our roadmap towards these goals,” says Hannamari Koivula, Head of Sustainability at Antilooppi.

Solar energy is renewable and emission-free, which in turn helps mitigate the carbon dioxide emissions from properties. The solar power plantin Quartetto Business Park has been implemented by electricity provider Helen, and is 50 kWP in scale. A total of 135 solar panels have been installed on the roof of the property, and they will produce an estimated 44 MWh of energy annually.

Antilooppi will commission five new solar power plants during the autumn, totaling about 255 MWh. In addition, the company is currently actively looking into new solar energy production opportunities for their other properties as well.

Alongside renewable energy, Antilooppi is promoting its climate targets by investing in the energy efficiency of its properties and making use of renewable electricity throughout its real estate portfolio. Antilooppi is also constantly working to increase the share of renewable heating. The recent energy sustainability actions support not only Antilooppi’s own goals, but also the growing expectations of customers for the sustainability of their premises.

“Concrete sustainability actions, such as choices in energy, are now more important than ever for our customers. We are glad that we can help our customers achieve their own sustainability targets through our sustainability actions,” says Koivula.
